Hook, Line & Sink Her

We don’t have cable We don’t have a D.V.D player Our T.V isn’t and has never been hooked upIt’s useless.
So to fix this Jenna painted a piece of cardboard black, cut out a cute winter scene, and taped it to the T.V. Now whenever we turn it on the static makes it look as if it’s snowing, ha!

I am loving this idea for bringing more light into a dark bathroom. Lots and lots of mirrors!

Oh my lordy… I think I’m in love.

Welcome to the World, Mouse…

My friend Amanda has just given birth to a beautiful little girl so I’m posting her the card I cross-stitched for her and her new baby (whom she called “Mouse” during her pregnancy, and as far as I know Amanda and Dave haven’t named her properly yet).

Photographs up from Leeds castle (in Kent, not Leeds), which Tom and I visited a few weeks ago.

Tom and I went adventuring to Hever Castle today, which was Anne Boleyn’s childhood home. Neither of us had been there before and I was blown away by how beautiful it was, and how much effort has been made to maintain the castle in it’s original state; from beautifully ornate carved mahogany furnishings indoors to Alice-in-Wonderland-eqsue weird and wonderful topiary sculptures in the gardens.
